Deon Taylor Enterprises

Deon Taylor Enterprises (DTE) is the brain-child of director Deon Taylor and producer Roxanne Avent. Deon and Roxanne created the film-production business from scratch, using years of experience in film and creativity to build from the ground up something the likes of Hollywood has never seen before.

It wasn’t easy to get his foot in the door, but Deon Taylor was determined to make his dream of seeing his stories on the big screen a reality. Co-producer of Blade and Blade II, Jon Divens, recognized Deon’s talent and mentored him. Divens encouraged Taylor to write scripts and it wasn’t long before Deon was knocking on doors in Hollywood to pitch his film ideas. Sometimes the door was slammed in his face, but Deon knew he had what it took to succeed even if not on the first try.

Working from the ground up, Deon learned the tricks of the trade and made short-story 30 minute episodes that he turned into a series – Night Tales, hosted by Flavor Flav. The budget was low, the episodes had to be shot quickly, and the pressure was on. Deon used a 35 millimeter camera to shoot the episodes with scripts he wrote himself. Success paid off when the premiere of Night Tales aired on B.E.T. to record-breaking view counts.

Since Night Tales, Deon has gone on to work with now partner, producer Roxanne Ave, whose previous experience includes popular shows like “Walker, Texas Ranger,” to create another season of Nite Tales. This time hosted by Method Man, Denise Richards, and Stacey Dash.

Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the new season, and currently enjoying some of the movies released by Deon Taylor Enterprises, such as Dead Tone, Chain Letter, and newest comedy release, The Hustle.
